Kalabalik to Dry fish and tango
Brass, percussion and crazy rhythms are guaranteed to make the stockfish tremble and the audience sing and dance.
The legendary brass band Kalabalik from Harstad is this year's Dry Fish and Tango band. They will offer us party music that will make you happy, and that requires great technical skills and steel fitness from the performers.
"The Balkan tradition of big brass bands is a crowd-puller all over the world, and the genre has a broad appeal. There's something about the mix of reckless energy and gypsy melancholy that grabs people," says bandleader Ole Thomas Gjærum.
Italy + Norway = stockfish pleasure
The music will be served to the most delicious stockfish dishes from chefs Gino Minachipelli and Roy-Helge Jenssen, with culinary students from Agliano and Tromsø on the team. This year, as last year, there will be a rich buffet of mature fish. There will be an Italian-Norwegian fusion on the food front, accompanied by energetic rhythms from the Balkans.
